It's a long story, and I get into it at my writing blog: Walker's Study. Summarized: After a near-extinction level event, Mankind recovers under the guidance of the reunified Catholic Church. They fight a succession of wars against Man's enemies, with each wave ending with Man expanding his reach further away from Holy Terra. Now Mankind's surviving nations exist in a series of sovereign interstellar kingdoms throughout the Milky Way galaxy unified by a common religion and the civilizing influence it exerts. That said, it is a Medieval world in the stars- not our modern one projected forward. Adjust your expectations accordingly. The nihilistic, despair-besotted science fiction too many of you know does not exist here.Rewards
