Operational costs such as the purchasing of photo and video equipment, firearms, ammunition, and so forth. While on occasion a manufacturer will send me a demo piece, I usually have to acquire review items using my own money. As the profile of RGG rises, and more and more manufacturers send me gear on a regular basis, the need for donations will be less. I hope to one day turn off this donation link entirely.
